Falling for the next story

As the leaves start to change color, the cool breeze blows through the window and a nip of cold air gives me goosebumps I get excited because this is when I want to crochet the most.

I will admit, that crocheting pumpkins this year for a gala was fun. Now is the perfect time to start thinking of other creatures who remind us of winter fun. Snowmen, Penguins, and Polar Bears are just the beginning of what comes to mind when I think of winter. Now is the time to let the creative juice flow and explore new patterns.

I try to look at winter from a child’s point of view so I can capture the creatures they love. Some things I ask myself before I go to work are; What creatures allow for the best stories? How can I use a combination to create a fun story? Who would be friends? Would a Truck go and save the polar bear? or maybe help make this house?

The imagination is amazing because it does not always have to be obvious how two things can be related. Sometimes its more fun to have unrelated characters work together.
